Join Dingbat Theatre Project outside at The Bazaar on Apricot & Lime (821 Apricot Avenue, Sarasota) for some theatre fun out in the beautiful courtyard. Workshop will begin at 12:00 p.m. and will last around two hours. Our instructors include Brian F. Finnerty, Amanda Heisey, Austin Howeth, and Luke Manual McFatrich. All will be appearing in Dingbat Theatre Project’s production of The SpongeBob Musical, which will be performing indoors at The Bazaar for the month of December.
The instructors will begin with a large group game, then the class will split up into groups. Each group will receive a famous fairy tale and a basket filled with props. Each group will put together a small improvised play based on their fairy tale, using only the items they have in their basket. A great exercise in teamwork, creativity, and resourcefulness. It is also a representation of how Dingbat Theatre Project approaches their productions like a punk rock, industrial, fairy-tale production of Shrek the Musical with eight actors and an underwater, playground, junkyard production of The SpongeBob Musical with eleven actors.
